This year’s annual Civic Carol Service will take place on Wednesday December 13th at St Michael’s Church in Alnwick at 6.30pm. The Mayor is especially pleased that pupils from St Paul’s will be performing at the service.

Organised by Alnwick Town Council the Carol Service is held in support of a local charity chosen by the Mayor of Alnwick. This year’s charity is the Alnwick Talking Newspapers and a collection will be taken for them during the service.

Alnwick Mayor, Councillor Alan Symmonds, said, “The Civic Carol Service is a highlight in the Town Council’s civic calendar bringing together a mix of traditional carols and readings, not to forget the seasonal refreshments.  It is a great family night out that I’m sure will leave everyone with a real feeling of Christmas.  I’m also pleased to announce that one again the Bailiffgate Singers will be taking part in the event as will pupils from St Paul’s Primary School year”.

Everyone is welcome to attend. The service starts at 6.30pm at St Michael’s Church, Bailiffgate, Alnwick. Refreshments will be available after the service so it will be an event for all the family.
