STORY FEST: Alnwick Lions and author Annabella team up for literary event
Alnwick Lions are teaming up with Northeast author Annabella Baker for two days during Story Fest, a celebration of words and film that aims to put Alnwick on the literary map!
Annabella said: “Alnwick Lion’s Bookshop is doing a great job in making reading available to all and raising money for a great cause.”
“When the Alnwick Story Fest became a reality, I was very excited at the idea of having writers and readers involved in the event but also welcoming as many book lovers as possible and I offered my support.”
“I’m delighted to say I will be present two days, the 24th and 25th February, from 10am-12 and 1pm-3pm at the Lion’s Bookshop at the White Swan Hotel, offering workshops, presenting my two books and launching my third one.”
“I always loved writing short, fictional stories and children’s books and of course reading has been a lifetime passion. I will be talking about my journey from idea to publication and give advice on how you can write and publish your book”.
“When Alnwick Story Fest became a reality, I was very excited at the idea of having writers and readers involved in the event but also welcoming as many book lovers as possible. I have been aware of the Lion’s bookshops for many years due to my father being a member so when I came to Alnwick it was natural for me to support the local club. The Lion’s Bookshop is doing a great job in making reading available to all, the staff are incredibly helpful and you can find some hidden gems in there!”
Lions Bookshop manager Tom Deedigan said “We are looking forward to welcoming Annabella, to being involved with Story Fest and to celebrating the wonderful world of books. We really do have something for everyone on the shelves and are open daily from 10am to 4pm so do call in, say hello and meet Annabella.”
