Deputy Mayor Geoff Watson said “we are very grateful to Northumberland County Council for the funding which has enabled us to purchase the equipment.  It’s pleasing to see that other people are as interested in keeping their town clean and we are happy to loan the equipment to Alnmouth Parish Council”.

He continued “Alnwick Town Council itself will be holding its next town clean-up day on Sunday July 14th so the equipment will get plenty of use”.

The Town Council has agreed to loan the equipment to other local Parish Councils and organisations to help them with any clean-up events they hold and anyone interested in borrowing equipment should contact the Town Council on 01665 602574 or
