Mayor’s Civic Carol Service Celebrates the Christmas Season

The Mayor of Alnwick brought members of the local community together to celebrate the season at the Mayor’s Civic Carol Service this evening in St Michael’s Parish Church.

Residents and representatives of local organisations came together at the service led by the Vicar of St Michael’s Church, Rev Christian Mitchell and Curate Rev Fran Bell with singing from pupils from St Paul’s School, Alnwick Allstars Vocal Group and Viktoriia Rekun.

Organist Linden Innis-Hopkins provided musical interludes.

Readings were given by Cllr Lynda Wearn, Linnea Tormajer, Cllr John Humphries, and Cllr Alan Symmonds followed by remarks from Town Mayor Cllr Geoff Watson who said he “thoroughly enjoyed the service which was a wonderful service that contained an abundance of Christmas spirit.”
