Public Seating in Alnwick

The Town Council is responsible for over 100 public seats and benches in and around the town town.

All the seats are inspected once a month but if you see any damage or disrepair to any of the seating in the town please report it to the Town Council using the link below;

Seats can also be purchased by organisations who wish to commemorate a significant anniversary or event and the Town Council has arranged seats to be installed at various sites around the town including Column Field. Organisations wishing to request a seat should contact the Town Council using the Contact Information on this page.

The Town Council welcomes requests from anyone who would like to provide a seat dedicated to a relative or friend. We are happy to give advice on new or existing locations.

In 2012/13 we replaced and upgraded the seats around the Pottergate Gardens and in 2013/14 we renewed some of the seats in the Column Field. The Town Council have a phased refurbishment plan which will cover all seating in the town.
