Council grant supports sports awards
Alnwick and District Sports Awards are a highlight of the local sporting calendar and Alnwick District Council is pleased to award a grant of £750 to support the presentation evening at Alnwick Playhouse.
Bill Batey, Chairman of Alnwick and District Sports Council said “The awards evening shines a spotlight on local groups and individuals for their achievements, excellence and effort in a range of sporting disciplines. This grant will help cover costs at the awards evening, on February 24th, which is free to attend. We are very grateful to the Town Council for their continued support.”
