Town Councillor vacancies announced

Notice is hereby given that due to the resignation of David Farrar and Rachael Roberts, a vacancy now exists for the office of Town Councillor for the Clayport Ward and for the Castle Ward.

The vacancies will be filled by election if any ten local government electors for the said electoral area submit a written request within 14 days (not counting Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays) from the date below, and if no such request is made the parish Council will fill the vacancies by co-option. These positions will have a term of office which lasts until the next full Town Council elections in May 2017.

Any request for an election to be held to fill the vacancies must be in writing and must reach the Returning Officer, Northumberland County Council, County Hall, Morpeth, Northumberland NE61 2EF not later than 5th April 2016.
