Alnwick Town Council grant applications.

The aims of the Alnwick Town Council Grant system are to support voluntary and community groups/organisations to deliver activity that will make an impact within the town, to support one-off initiatives that are seen as valuable to the town and to provide an easily accessible process of funding support.

The grants are available to any voluntary/community or not-for-profit groups or organisations (including charities) based in or predominantly serving Alnwick.

Our grants fall into three categories: General, Environmental and Event.

The following conditions and tests will be applied:

• The majority of people benefiting from the project should be from Alnwick.
• Retrospective applications cannot be considered.
• No grant will be given to applicants who are looking for funding which will then be used to offer grants to other organisations or individuals.

Please note the Council will NOT provide grants for the following: Campaigning or political purposes; Profit making groups/organisations; Commercial activities; Retrospective funding; Revenue start-up costs or revenue items such as salaries (unless salaries are specific to this project/activity); Entertaining/Catering; National organisations, unless the grant will be used for the specific benefit of Alnwick residents/visitors; Grant giving organisations/groups.
