Civic Carol Service details announced
This year’s annual Civic Carol Service will take place on Wednesday December 14th at St Michael’s Church in Alnwick.
Organised by Alnwick Town Council the Carol Service is held in support of a local charity chosen by the Mayor of Alnwick. This year’s charity is the Alnwick Stroke Club.
Alnwick Mayor, Councillor Alan Symmonds, said, “The Civic Carol Service is one of the highlights of the Town Council’s civic calendar. It brings together a mix of traditional carols and readings, not to forget the Christmas tree and seasonal refreshments. It is a great family night out that I’m sure will leave everyone with a real feeling of Christmas. I’m also pleased to announce that the Bailiffgate Singers will be taking part in the event again this year”.
Everyone is welcome to attend. The service starts at 7.00pm at St Michael’s Church, Bailiffgate, Alnwick. Refreshments will be available after the service so it will be an event for all the family.
