Electoral register door-knock set to get under way
Those households who were required to respond to the canvass letter and have not already done so, will receive a knock at the door from 10 September as Northumberland County Council canvassers start to visit outstanding properties.
Canvassers will only visit properties where they need a response and none has been received.
All canvassers will have Northumberland County Council photo ID badges and hi-vis jackets, and residents areencouraged to check the photo ID before giving out any information if they have any concerns.
Residents will be asked limited information relating to voter registration, such as name and nationality and sign the form, this only takes a couple of minutes at the door. If there is no response, canvassers will post the form through the letter box.
