Help get the town ready for Easter

Sunday 29th March has been designated an Alnwick town clean-up day in a partnership event organised by Alnwick Town Council and Northumberland County Council. A community event is being organised between 10am and 2pm to help get the town shipshape for the Easter holiday period. Various cleaning activities will take place during the day including litter picking, street sweeping and weeding. All equipment will be provided on the day.

A number of local groups have already agreed to take part, they include Alnwick In Bloom, Alnwick Area Friends of the Earth, Alnwick Cub Scouts, Alnwick Boxing Club and the Alnwick Chamber of Trade.

Any individuals wishing to take part and able to give a few hours of their time should meet at the Northumberland Hall in the Market Place, Alnwick at either 10.00am or 12pm on the day.
