Introducing two new councillors
Alnwick Town Council is delighted to introduce two new members who were co-opted at the recent meeting of the Full Council.
They will both represent the Hotspur Ward and are already known to many of the town’s residents.
Bobby Chapman is looking forward to serving the community he and his family have called home for the last eight years. He said “As a local business owner and family man, I’m passionate about supporting the people of Alnwick and helping the town continue to thrive. In particular I want to champion local services, along with opportunities and support for children and young people.”
“I want to showcase everything that is great about Alnwick and celebrate the town’s community spirit by bringing people together through events, celebrations and activities that will create lasting memories for residents of all ages.
Speaking about his appointment, Bobby said: “Alnwick welcomed me and my family with open arms when we moved here, and I’ve always wanted to give something back. It’s a real privilege to now serve the town as a councillor, and I’m excited to work hard for our community.”
Community is also important to Stacey Harding, who came to Alnwick in 2024 with her family, and was instantly impressed by the warm welcome she received.
Stacey said “I am already a proud member of the Alnwick community. Some people might recognise me from the Alnwick Allstars Choir! I have a strong background in public‑facing roles and working closely with people from all walks of life. Throughout my career, I have focused on listening carefully, responding thoughtfully, and helping people navigate challenges with confidence and respect.”
“Living and working around Alnwick has shown me how important strong local connections are. I have been actively involved in engaging with residents, supporting community initiatives, and contributing to conversations that matter to our town — from everyday concerns to longer‑term aspirations for the area.”
“I care deeply about Alnwick and believe that when local voices are heard and valued, our community is stronger for it.”
Town Clerk Peter Hately said, “Stacey and Bobby are a welcome addition to the Alnwick Town Council team and I look forward to their input as the Council continues to serve the needs of our residents”.
