Mayor thanks Libby for 28 years service at Cancer Research shop
“Libby Clazey has quietly made a real difference to the lives of countless people through her service with Cancer Research UK.”
That was part of the tribute paid to Libby by the Mayor of Alnwick when he presented her with a bouquet of flowers to mark her retirement as manager of the Cancer Research shop in Narrowgate for the last 28 years.
Mayor, Councillor Geoff Watson, added “On behalf of Alnwick Town Council I thank you for your dedication, I thank you for your kindness and I thank you for your service.”
In return Libby said what she would miss most were the people – the customers, both local and tourists and her colleagues who through their kindness have made her time at the shop a pleasure.
Happy retirement Libby!
