Remembrance Sunday in Alnwick
Arrangements have been confirmed for the service and wreath laying ceremony at Alnwick War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday, November 8th.
Following the church service at St Paul’s RC Church, the parade will form up in Green Batt and will arrive at the War Memorial at approximately 3.30pm.
The procession will be led by the Band of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers followed by veterans, civic dignitaries, representatives of military organisations and community groups.
Prayers will be followed by the playing of The Last Post and a two-minute silence will be held before wreaths are laid around the base of the War Memorial.
Once again Alnwick Playhouse is offering free tea and coffee to all those who attended the ceremony, between 4.15 and 5.30pm.
