St George’s Day parade
Members of Alnwick Town Council were pleased to hear that a St George’s Day parade will be held in the town this spring.
Assistant to the Town Clerk, Janet Pibworth, confirmed that the event will take place on April 23rd, that over 100 soldiers will be taking part in the parade and that the Fusiliers Band will also be attending.
The route and timings have yet to be confirmed, but a salute will be taken on a dais outside the White Swan Hotel.
