VIDEO: Alnwick’s four-day Jubilee celebrations opening ceremony

The Duke of Northumberland opened Alnwick Town Council’s four-day programme of celebrations to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen. Town Mayor Councillor Geoff Watson then read the proclamation of accession that was announced in Alnwick Market Place in 1952.

Alnwick Playhouse Band then played God Save The Queen before they entertained the crowds with a great playlist of music.
