Woodland hedgehog houses ready for residents!

We were delighted to see that students from the Duchess Community High School have completed their construction of hedgehog houses for Thomas Percy Wood.

Alnwick Town Council provided twenty hedgehog house kits, and the DCHS  girls’ technology group have done a great job constructing them and have now placed them in the wood where hopefully  some new tenants will soon be moving in!

The project is one of several Council initiatives at the wood which aim to increase biodiversity and wildlife at the site.
